AWR1843: Why configuration parameters for long distance detection has smaller chirp frequency bandwidth?

To my understanding, higher chirp frequency bandwidth, higher range resolution.

But in Automotive mmr demo, I compared the parameters setting for different distance detection and find the parameters for short distance detection have large bandwidth.  Can you please explain why use these settings?
