MMWCAS-RF-EVM: SAR Imaging at zero speed in azimuth direction

Part Number: MMWCAS-RF-EVM

Hello,

I try to realize a MIMO-SAR system with the MMWCAS-RF-EVM and a precise horizontal linear axis.
So in total there are 86 virtual antennas with a spacing of lambda/4 in the vertical direction.

My idea is to do a stationary TDM MIMO measurement, wait for the echo and then move the antenna array by lambda/4 to the next position for the next measurement. After a few iterations I receive echo data of a big N*86 antenna array with equidistant spacing at zero speed in azimuth direction.

Is this a plausible procedure? I'm a little bit concerned since SAR usually is done by constant velocity in azimuth direction.

Thanks and regards,
Malte Müller
