According to the tips in the previous forum, the function SOC_rcmWaitBSSBootComplete is moved before calling Bootloader_runSelfCpu. Although the entire SBL QSPI Boot Time is reduced, it still takes more than 800 ms, which is still far from our customer needs. May I ask if this can further reduce the time, Get the time down to within 250ms?

Hello Zonghu,

It can be reduced, if the user enables and modifies the SBL to include EDMA transfers. This should reduce the time.
There is no reference code as of now which enables this feature.

Hello Zonghu,

You will have to debug and find out what the exact error in the SBL is.
You can add a loop_forever in the SBL_QSPI code and then step through to find what the exact error is.

Theoretically, the clock of QSPI is 80MHZ, but currently the 6BH command (Quad Output Fast Read) will output 4 byte data every 48 clocks. After calculation, it only takes about 120ms to load about 800KB of data, but now it takes more than 800ms. What is the reason?

Hello Zonghu,

In the current SBL that we have, function which wait for the BSS bootup which is time consuming. How are you measuring this time and between what two points are measuring it?
You can get more clarity on this function if you refer the code present in the path C:\ti\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_03_00_01\mcu_plus_sdk_awr294x_08_04_00_20\examples\drivers\boot\sbl_qspi\awr294x-evm\r5fss0-0_nortos\main.c
This will help you understand the SBL flow.
