TMP61: Formula for calculating the resistance values

Part Number: TMP61

Hi Team,

According to our customer, he has the resistance values table from the product page of TMP61. He wants to know the formula for calculating the resistance values for different temperatures. I have checked the datasheet and forum but can't find the formula to compute for the resistance of the thermistor. I saw the TMP6 thermistor design tool and noticed the resistance lookup table and example code. Is this the information that he could use in his program to determine the temperature of the thermistor?

Regards,

Danilo

  • Hi Danilo,

Yes, you can find the information you are looking for in the tabs of the Thermistor Design Tool. We recommend using the "4th Order Polynomial TMP vs Vdc" tab in the tool to convert the voltage read across the TMP61 directly to temperature. The coefficients and code example can be found on that tab as well.

    Best regards,

    Jesse
