TMAG5170DEVM: EVM is not recognized by PC

Part Number: TMAG5170DEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TI-SCB,

Dear team,

We are using TMAG5170DEVM + TI-SCB and connect to win10(or win11) computer with its GUI(or web GUI).
But the PC did not recognize it.

We have referred to the FAQ and tried the process but it did not resolve the issue.

Could you please tell me how to resolve it?

Best regards
Yuto

  • Yuto,

After connecting TI-SCB for the first time, it will need to have the firmware for the sensor flashed to memory.  Try clicking here

If program device is not grayed out, then you should be able to install the firmware and connect to the EVM.

If it shows grayed out, like in the image I provided, then either the USB port is not recognized or the TI-SCB is not in USB mode.  I would first attempt changing USB ports to verify this is not the problem, and then if necessary the User's guide should include instructions how to enter DFU mode.
