IWR6843AOP: Radar studio exception

Radar team,

I've installed Matlab MCR-R2015aSP1, and I've installed mmWave Studio 2.1.1.0. I keep getting the error message below when I open mmWave Studio. The tool shows the splash screen, then the window below, and crashes. I already have CCS installed.

This same thing is happening for a customer.

What can we do to fix this?

Hi Pedrhom,

I did this, and it stopped the crashing from happening on startup! Thank you!

When I open the mmWave Studio tool, I only see an empty grey window. Is that normal? I do not have any hardware connected right now.

Also, in Windows 11, the customer doesn't have an AppData folder. Any idea where it would exist?

For Windows 11, we resolved it by typing Run in the Start bar, then typing %appdata% and hitting enter. This opens the AppData folder, and we found the right files to delete.

I still don't understand why I only see a grey window.

Hello Darren,

For the first run of mmWaveStudio, please have the DCA1000 and mmWave Sensor already hooked up to avoid the gray screen.
