hello,
I am running the out of box demo with the AWR1843AOP board. I check the power consumption with a 12 V source. after sending the sensorStop command I saw that the power consumption dropped by about 30mA, but I think that the AWR1843AOP is still consuming too much power. how can I improve this situation. How can I make AWR1843AOP consume less power. waiting for your help.

* I am thinking of managing the regulator by controlling the regulator that feeds the AWR1843AOP chip with a different chip. but I would appreciate if you offer a solution specific to the AWR1843AOP chip.

Hi,

This question has been discussed in the past.

Unfortunately the AWR1843AOP device does not support integrated low power features. The only way to reduce power is to reduce the RF activity. There are customers who tried to power down the pmic as mentioned in the threads below. However this method has not been tried by our team

thanks, I have a few questions about this topic;

When I send the sensorStop command, doesn't the RF activity already stop? Does the RF side continue to consume energy after sending the sensorStop command?
When I individually turn off the 1.2V, 1.8V, and 3.3V supplies to the processor, the connection to the processor is severed. If only the DSS and MSS main tasks are not running and I disable the 1.0V, the chip's connection is not severed, but in this case, CAN communication does not work. My goal is to wake up the PMIC from the CAN bus without killing the CAN bus. How can I achieve this without managing the chip supplies?
I couldn't find information on how the supply voltages are distributed within the AWR1843AOP apart from the datasheet. The datasheet also seems insufficient. Can you provide a source of information on this matter?

Yes, after sensorStop there is no more RF chirping activity.

Device Power Domains are covered in the Technical Reference Manual, SWRU520E, Section 5.4
