IWR6443: Error code 46, sent by the RADAR.

IWR6243: IWR6243 Error Code 36 sent by Radar chip

Part Number: IWR6243

Hello,

I am trying to configure a profile for IWR6243. But every time I get "Error Code 36"  ("PF freq const is not with[76GHz,81GHz] in limit") isn't related to IWR6243. I am using configuration parameters from example code.
Configuration parameters I got from: mmwave_dfp_06_04_01_00", ("\ti\example\mmWaveLink_SingleChip_Monitoring\mmwaveconfig.txt")

I also tried some different configurations with different VCO, Start Frequency, IdleTime, ADC Start time etc. It didn't work as well.

    Can you please let me know if you are running the test application or the actual cascade demo? Also, can you let me know the specific SDK version that you are using?

    Can you please also tell me which files you have modified the configuration parameters in?

    Hi Josh,

    Thanks for getting back to me.
    Let me give you some informations about our setup and the steps we took.

    We control the TI - xWR6243 EVM single chip with using a 32-bit Radar uC.
    We made our own driver for our controller with using Device Firmware Package (mmwave_dfp_06_04_01_00\ti\control\mmwavelink)
    We created very basic test firmware for our controller which is similar with example in DFP (mmwave_dfp_06_04_01_00\ti\example)
    We don't have problem with spi communication and gpio.

    On the profile configuration part I saw this error message sent by IWR6243 to our controller via SPI. And according to the DFP (mmwave_dfp_06_04_01_00\ti\control\mmwavelink\mmwavelink.h) line 473 explanation seems "PF freq const is not with[76GHz,81GHz] in limit".

    But the sensor itself is not even 76 GHz. It is 57-64 GHz. So this message is not relevant to the IWR6243. As I know DFP control source codes and header files are not specified for each model of xWR devices, it is generalized for them. But I think there is something missed or overlooked. I just want to have correct profile configuration parameters or updated DFP for IWR6243.
