AWR1843AOP: MCAL Driver Package Compatibility Check Requrest btw 1843 and 1843AOP

Part Number: AWR1843AOP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1843, , SYSCONFIG

Hi 1843 Champ !

* Compatibility btw AWR1843 and AWR1843AOP

Can you please check if 1843 MACL Driver Package is able to be compatibile with 1843AOP?

A customer trying to port MCAL package 4.2.1 on top of AUTOSAR OS 4.0.3 even TI MCAL package is built based on AUTOSAR Stack 4.2.1.

And since they believe that the issue occurs while applying the MCAL Driver module was not exported as an AOP type, there are various errors or no menus.

If it has to be exported separately for 1843AOP, please release the MCAL package for AOP again.

* Compatibility btw AUTOSAR 4.0.3 and MCAL 4.2.1

Also, please check if it is possible to use the MCAL package 4.2.1 version based on AUTOSAR Stack 4.0.3.

If possible, can I ask you to export to AUTOSAT Stack 4.0.3? Customer can't seem to afford to license AUTOSAR 4.2.1 additionally.

Thanks

Regards,

Jack

  • Hi Jack,

TI provides the MCAL package for AWR1843 devices. If the same package has to be used for the AOP board then only the port configuration file needs to be modified.

As far as the compatibility with the AUTOSAR version is concerned, I would suggest you to check this with your AUTOSAR provider. The current MCAL package supports the AUTOSAR version 4.2.1.

    Regards,

    Shruti

  • Hello. Shruti.

Does port configuration mean PinMuxing by SYSCONFIG? I agree with you.

But I'm checking it because the Customer's researcher keeps asking me to release the AOP version of MCAL package.

Since ARROW does not have an AUTOSAR license, I cannot confirm the exact details via VECTOR Korea,

BTW. I asked the researcher to use AUTOSAR Stack 4.2.1 and MCAL 4.2.1.

And VECTOR said us that the company that owns the license to inquire about compatibility with MCAL Package 4.2.1 version.

For now, TI doesn't know if MCAL Driver Package 4.2.1 supports AUTOSAR 4.0.3, right?

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Jack

  • Hi Jack,

The current MCAL release from our end is compatible with AUTOSAR 4.2.1.
