Hi,
Best regards.
I would like to know if I can use the LDC1000 as an NCV sensor (Non-Contact Voltage). The idea is to determine if there is AC current passing through the transmission line
Thanks in advance.

Jhon,
If the frequency of the AC current will be within the sensor frequency's range (5kHz - 5MHz) then it could be possible to use the device, but some additional investigation would be needed to be sure.
If the current is the usual powerline frequency (50Hz - 60Hz), then it isn't likely this device would be useful.

John
Hi John, thanks for reply, do you know if TI has an IC for the that purpose? the idea is to detect AC , non-contact, 60Hz
Jhon,
It might be worth looking at some of our current Hall Effect current sense monitor devices.
They fall within our amplifiers portfolio and you can post any questions you have to out E2E Amplifier Forum.
