In RD map, the second peak's sideband noise raises up. It may mask week target nearby. How do we decrease the noise level around the second peak?

Hello Ming,

Could you tell me what board you are using? I am suspecting that you could be getting strong TX to RX coupling or something similar to that, causing issues (e.g. you can see the strong peak labeled '1' in your first plot).

We used AWR2944 EVM ES1.0 for testing. The 1st peak is from the target at distance 3m. We think sideband noise of the 1st peak is acceptable.

Thanks Ming for confirming,

Could you also check the phase noise of your target simulator? After internal checking, if the phase noise of your target simulator is very high, it could cause spurious velocity bins.
