AWR2243: Can the configurations of Phase shifter be saved in AWR2243 during switch between TDM-MIMO and beamforming?

Dear team,

We use a MCU to configure the AWR2243 four-cascaded chip.

Now TDM-MIMO and beamforming have been set to AWR2243 and it works very well. And we can switch mode between TDM-MIMO and beamforming based on sensorStop&sensorStart.

But when switching to beamforming, it is very time-consuming. We found mainly the phase shifter is configured, which need send command 48(4 chip * 12 chirp) times to AWR2243.

TDM-MIMO will disable the phase shifter, only beamforming enables and uses it.

So i want to know whether the configurations of Phase shifter can be saved in AWR2243 instead of configure it each time?

Hi Guo,

Thank you for being patient.

You can configure PERCHIRP_PHASESHIFTER_EN bit of RF_MISC_CTL to enable and disable phase shifter. Refer to ICD document located at mmwave_dfp_02_02_04_00/docs.

Thank you. Do you mean the phase shifter configurations can be saved in AWR2243 once it configed? When we switch mode, we just enable or disable it.
