The error I am getting mirrors the one reported by user Jason Jiang 5 months ago.

The main screen fades out and is replaced with a box which says:

Radar Studio Exception

X Object Reference not set to an instance of an object

I cannot find Jason Jiang's post, if you could link that. However I believe this has to do with the localization of your machine as we have seen this issue on several computers that use non-English locale machines.

I hope you find it useful.  I am not sure what you are referring to by 'localization'.  I am in the US, but did buy the machine online.  How can I determine the 'locale' of the machine?

Thanks for the update.  I am really looking forward to getting this issue resolved.  I am trying to put together a demo for a large client.  They have used Infineon hardware in the past, and I am trying to convince them to switch to TI hardware.  A good demo will go a long way towards doing that.

Hello Paul,

For the easiest and fastest way to do raw data capture, you can use the DCA1000 ADC Data Capture Tool which allows users to use the mmWave out of box demo to capture the raw data over LVDS without starting the mmWaveStudio GUI interface. It also only requires one USB connection as opposed to two. Download the Radar Toolbox and use the user-guide below to do so. Some steps are shared between the two methods of data capture such as the setting of the static IP address for the Ethernet connection.

Thanks for your latest reply.  I will try the software you recommend, and hope to have good luck with it.  I would still like to understand why the mmW studio package does not work on my machine.  There is no indication in the documentation that it should not, and so I continue to optimistically believe it should work given the right tweaks.
