Tool/software:
Hi,
Keeping asymmetric fov either in horizontal or in vertical how it will impact on CFAR level? How it will affect radar performance and how to mitigate this?
Thanks,
Manoj

Hello Manoj,
I am confused on what you are claiming. Changing the FOV of the pointcloud is not going to affect the SNR of the points already within detection. Thus CFAR shouldnt really change.

Hi Pedrhom,
Sorry for the confusion. So, to clarify this take an example if I want to keep azimuth/elevation FOV 90 degrees. Instead of keeping it -45 to +45 if I keep it like -17 to +73 degrees, so in this case will there be any impact on radar performance or any of its parameter?
Thanks,
Manoj
Hello Manoj,
There should not be an impact as long as it is within the evaluation module's max azimuth and elevation FOVs. Are you seeing any impact?
Best Regards,
Pedrhom
Hi Pedrhom,
Till now the tests which we have performed in those we didn't face any impact. So, just wanted to understand if there is any impact in any scenario.
Thanks,
Manoj
