DCA1000EVM: Timeout Error: System Disconnected (Unable to Read FPGA Version -5)

Tool/software:

Hi Sensors team,

I get the following error when trying to connect to the DCA1000 EVM. "Timeout Error! System Disconnected"

After timing out a few times, I get this final error: "Unable to read FPGA Version. [error -5]"

What could be causing this issue?

    Hi Ethan, 

    This error is sometimes caused by issues with the Windows Firewall. Try navigating to Control Panel > System and Security, and click Allow an app through Windows Firewall.

    On this screen, make sure that all dca1000-related programs are allowed in Domain, Private, and Public: 

    This error can have other causes as well. I'd recommend taking a look at the DCA1000 FAQ, section 6 for our most up-to-date troubleshooting recommendations.
