Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with mmWave Studio not detecting my AWR1642BOOST board. I have already reflashed it using UniFlash, but the problem persists. Interestingly, the board works perfectly in the browser version.

Do you have any advice on resolving this issue?

Hi,

For RS232 Connectivity make sure that the SOP configuration and the COM port are correct.

For the SPI Connectivity, there is a switch that selects between SPI and CAN. Make sure it is in SPI position.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Both connectivity methods do not work. The COM port is COM4 as it is shown in the Device manager. The SOP configuration is SOP mode 4 where only the SOP0 jumper is on. And the switch is in the SPI position. But the board is still not detected by mmWave desktop. I am using only the AWR1642BOOST board without the ADC. Should the software still work in this setup, or is the ADC required for proper detection?

Thank you for the additional information.

To use mmwave studio, the DCA1000 is required.

Since there is no DCA1000 EVM, there is no FTDI available.
