Tool/software:
Hello,
I have designed a custom PCB using the AWR2243 chip and aim to configure the AWR2243 and receive data via an FPGA. Currently, I am encountering some issues during boot-up:
1) A 40 MHz clock is provided externally to the CLKP pin of the AWR2243 through an SMA connector on the PCB, with CLKM grounded. The clock signal is generated by a function generator set to 50-ohm impedance, sine waveform, AC-coupled, with a peak-to-peak voltage of 1.2 Vpp. The clock signal measured at the CLKP pin shows a peak-to-peak voltage (VPP) of approximately 1V, which meets the datasheet requirement of 700 mVpp to 1200 mVpp. Are there any issues with my clock configuration?
2) I attempted to boot the AWR2243 without loading any firmware: Following the device wake-up sequence described in Figure 5-2, I powered on the device, set the SOP pins to Functional SPI mode, and applied the 40 MHz clock to the AWR2243 after asserting and de-asserting nRESET. However, no clock output is observed at the MCUCLK OUTPUT pin. Could this be due to the absence of firmware, an issue with the 40 MHz clock signal, or an error in the boot-up sequence?
Looking forward to your guidance. Thank you!
