If you want to do any DC estimation or subtraction, I believe it should be done after the range FFT is complete.  In your implementation, it looks like you are doing the DC estimation before the range FFT.  Also, is there a reason why you are doing the DC estimation and subtraction within the rangeproc as opposed to in the doppler proc to remove any zero-doppler clutter?

Apologies for the delay in response.  For DC removal of ADC data, you will want to do that prior to the Range FFT.  I was unaware of your usecase so this clarification was helpful.  To remove the coupling noise that you see, you can also try increasing the HPF filter before trying to strip out that DC offset via the HWA.

We do not have such an example currently.  Are you only trying to use the range profile in detection or are you trying to do some short-range detection?  Because if you can use pointcloud and just want to eliminate the coupling noise, you can simply filter out the near-field pointcloud using the rangelSelCfg and filter out points close to the sensor.

Apologies for the delay in response.  Let me check internally to see if there is a method to do this.  Usually the coupling noise is only seen in the first range bin, so as long as the range resolution is as low as needed, you can usually just ignore the first range bin and do the detection still.  But I can still check internally to see if there is a way to do this.
