Hello? I'm Wonjin Eom.

I want use mmWave radar to visualize some objects around our industrial robot arm.

I want to get x,y,x 3D coordinate data of object which supports 100 micrometer resolution.

I wonder if I can achieve 100 micrometer resolution. Is it possible?

The required range is just 1~2 meters and I can use multiple sensor chips.

Hi Wonjin,

TI's mmWave devices can achieve measurement accuracy of 0.1mm.

I would like to clarify whether you're looking for 0.1 mm "Resolution" or "Accuracy"? It is important to distinguish between "Range Resolution" and "Range Accuracy" as these are two different concepts. Perhaps what you're looking for is measurement accuracy of 100 microns, which is achievable. Please refer to the following threads which explain the distinction between Range resolution and Range Accuracy and also provide information on high accuracy measurements.
