TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: Can i use the TDC1000-BSTEVM with TDC1000-TDC7200EVM?

Part Number: TDC1000-TDC7200EVM

Hi everyone,
i need an information about the TDC1000-TDC7200 could you help me?
I know that the board use a voltage of Vdd-0.3 in order to stimulate the piezo sensors but i have to use higher voltages.
Can i use the TDC1000-BSTEVM (which is used for the TDC1000-GASEVM) with TDC1000-TDC7200EVM?
TI sells only the boost pack or i have to buy the entire TDC1000-GASEVM kit?
Thank you all!

  • Hi Luigi,

The TDC1000-BSTEVM is not sold separately. It is compatible with the standard TDC1000-TDC7200EVM with some modification (female headers need to be added to the empty throughhole on the top left of the board). The full schematic for the BSTEVM is available in the user's guide if you would like to make your own. www.ti.com/.../sniu026a.pdf

    Regards,
  • But in the board the TDC1000-BSTEVM is settled?
If i'll buy both the kits can i just disconnect the BSTEVM from the TDC1000-GASEVM and connect it to the TDC1000-TDC7200?
    Thank you
  • Hi Luigi,

Yes, you can connect the BSTEVM to the TDC1000-TDC7200EVM, however you will need to populate the female header pins on the top left of the board. It is generally easier to simply use the main board included with the TDC1000-GASEVM as it is identical in layout to the TDC1000-TDC7200EVM with only some component differences.

    Regards,
