Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1642
When the radar is placed on ground and the distance between radar and object is short(about 15m), there are some harmonics frequency of beat signal frequency . The baseband signal is not saturated in the time domain. The input signal power from antenna is about -88dBm. I have try to low the Rx Gain from 36dB to 24dB,but the beat signal power to harmonics signal power are not change.
We have modifier the TX PA output power from 12dBm to 6dBm through the TX Backoff settings before, however ,there have no change.
The issue we have also found on TI's EVM board. You can test and check it . Radar is palced on ground ,and the target(in our test,we used a drone with 1^2m corner reflector ) is placed above the radar away from radar about 15m or closer .The setting is shown below:
PRT=34us, idle time 2us,adc start time 4us ,fs 12.2Msps ,ramp time 27us,tx start time 0us slop rate 5.5MHz/us ,Rx Gain 36dB.
fps=20Hz Chirp_len=256 Chirp_num=256
Thanks.
