FDC1004QEVM: Missing driver for Windows 8.1 64 Bit

I have installed the newest version of Sensing Solutions EVM GUI-1.9.4 on Windows 8, x64 and the installation process stated "driver installed". But when I connected the FDC1004QEVM at the GUI I got "Not connected" and "Ready". I think there is driver problem with Windows 8, X64 , Please direct me towards windows 8, 64 bit .

Sumant,

First, please go to Device Manager ( Windows 10 -> Right click Computer -> Manage) and check under the COM ports section whether you see "EVM" when the board is connected to the PC.

If it is not listed, then you may need to manually force the Device Manager to look for a driver for the connected device in the GUI installation folder which is usually C-> ti -> Sensing Solutions EVM GUI 1.9.4 -> EVM Driver

If that was not the issue, then you may need to try running the GUI in Windows Compatibility Mode. You can try Windows 7 or Windows XP (Serivce Pack 3) compatibility modes. You may also need to restart your PC after installing the GUI.

If Clancy's suggestions don't solve your issue, you could be having a firmware issue, not a driver issue. I will send you the proper firmware in a private message, and you can let us know if it solves your issue.
