Hi,

in Radar Studio there was a tab for test pattern generation.

Since I could not find this feature in mmWave studio I tried creating one with the lua function ar1.SetTestPatternConfig

The script runs without errors but the output always stays the same - independet from Rx I/Q steps and increments.

Is the feature not fully supported for AWR1642 with DCA1000 LVDS capture over Ethernet?

Hello Robert,
Test pattern for 1642 via radar studio or mmwave studio is not supported. It is supported only for 1243.
Incase of 1642 you can enable the test source in the embedded application you would be developing for 1642.

Hello Robert,

Could you also help us understand how you intend to use the test pattern function in mmwave studio scenario?

There is another feature of the "Test source" available in mmwave studio which emulates a known object and the LVDS data would correspond to that emulated object rather than the real front end measurement. Is this something that would be useful for you instead of the test pattern?

By now I have used the test source instead.
Also does the job for me.
