I am using DCA1000 EVM with 1243Boost. I can get data from 1243 using mmwave studio in frame mode.

Q1: I am trying to get DCA1000 EVM without mmawave studio like the post below. Can DCA1000 EVM work with C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_01_00_00_01\ti\example\mmwavelink_example? Use mmwavelink_example to trigger frames and use DCA1000 EVM to transmit data without mmwave studio.

Q2: as for software configuration mode, could TI provide us some example codes for it? Can we modify software configurations by our own codes as well? Could you give me more details on this?

so does 1642 support this? In the post I saw above, it is said that we could use hardware trigger to do that?

How about Q2?

Hi,

The Q1 is not a verified mode. As mentioned in the ticket you quoted, yes, DCA1000 can be used in hardware configured mode. We never verified with the mmwavelink example. You will need to develop own software to decode the data.

Q2, you mean code used for mmwave studio? Sorry, we do not provide the source code.

As for Q2, I was talking about the software config for DCA1000 EVM. I believe there should be a default configuration for ti right? Do you provide that script?
And also Q3, does TI provide schematic for DCA1000 EVM?

Hi,

To config DCA1000EVM, FPGA bit file is first written onto the board. Then we use mmwave studio to config. The source code for FPGA or mmwave studio however is not shared.
Or maybe I misunderstood, you mean the Lua script? Which will provide automatic execution of multiple steps in mmwave studio. There are Lua scripts under scripts folder of mmwave studio installation folder.

Schematics for DCA1000 EVM is in the process of publishing on ti.com. I'll follow up with you in a day or two regarding it.
