IWR1642BOOST: Getting flat respiration and heart rate in driver vital signs GUI

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1642

Anurag,

Could you specify how you tweaked the gui to get a heart and respiration waveform? I am having the exact same problem with my IWR1642.

Regards,

Josh

  • Hi Josh,

Can you give more details about your issue?

What is your physical setup (how is sensor mounted, what is distance from person, is person sitting, etc.)?

What is the version of your EVM (ES1.0 or ES2.0)?

What version of the lab/demo are you using?

    Regards,
    John
  • Hi John,

I mounted the sensor with the metal brackets that came with the device. I'm sitting in a chair within 0.5 m of the sensor, and my chest is about level with the transmit/receive antennas. The EVM version is ES2.0 and the version of the lab/demo is 2.0.0. The sensor seems to be working with other labs/demos, but it's having trouble with the vital signs lab. I've attached a screen capture of what the GUI looks like when I'm sitting in front of the sensor. The Range Profile plot is fairly responsive and correctly shifts the peak to the right/left when I move further from/closer to the sensor in near real-time. However, the Range Profile is the only plot that is doing anything.

    Regards,

    Josh

  • Josh,

Please download the latest version of the automotive toolbox here: dev.ti.com/.../

Version 2.4.0 is the latest release and the vital signs demo is updated now to support ES 2.0 devices. Please use this version of software with your device.

    Regards,
    Kyle
