TDC1000: Everything You Need to Know for Ultrasonic ToF (Liquid-Coupled) [Collateral, Tools, Designs, FAQ]

Part Number: TDC1000

Thanks for all your continued support.

I earlier posted about being able to drive a transducer at higher voltages, you referred me to the TDC1000 gas flow measurement electronics.

I purchased one of the dev. kits ( since it appears to be similar to the standard TDC1000-TDC7200 standard EVM.

I assume the software for both boards is the same, and if just use the gas flow version I can use it "as is", with appropriate settings to driver transducers at higher voltages.

I was able to see the higher drive levels on my transducers when I drove the parts.

I have tried driving transducers that are rated at 125KHz, 200KHz and see no return echo. I have tried various settings including more pulses and still see no analog return signal after the transmitter shuts down.

I have looked on both the buffered analog version of the signal you provide on board and directly on the transducer output pin, but see no signal ( for output was AC coupled and set for 200mv .)

I am doing "In Air" measurements for my ranging experiments.

The ringdown time for my 125KHz part is about 300us, its about 200 us for my 200KHz part.

I also have some standard 40KHz parts which I will try.

Any suggestions for what I can try to figure out why I am not getting a return echo?

Help is always appreciated....
