hi,

using (mmw_16xx_user_guide )(fluid level sensing )

i flashed the EVM using UNIFLASH tool ,program load completed successfully,

but i am getting wrong values .(instead of 100mm its showing 2000mm)

1)how to calibrate it.

2)if i try to flash using CCS ,while building the project i am getting errors (mmwave sensors -> industrial toolbox-> labs-> mmwave SDK demo ->16xx-mmwave SDK demo) both MSS and DSS giving error

Hi Ankith,

There are several things going on here.

First, for IWR1443 ES2.0 you are going to want to to use the mmWave-SDK 1.2, a link to download this version is here: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html (Please note that mmWave-SDK 2.1 is not compatible with ES2.0 devices).

Next, I'd recommend following the instructions for flashing in the Fluid Level Transmitter User Guide. It is available here: dev.ti.com/.../

Hi Ankith,

For the High Accuracy Lab, static calibration is performed at the GUI level in TI's GUI Composer. It is available at https://dev.ti.com/gallery/ and then click the "Import to GUI Composer" on the High Accuracy Lab Visualizer., although I don't believe such a large discrepancy is the result of calibration.

It is more likely that the 2000mm that is displayed is just the peak of a reflection that happens to have a higher magnitude than your true peak at 100mm. Would you be able to post a screenshot of your Range Profile?

Hi Ankith,

I believe your device is probably calibrated just fine but that there might be some issues with your test setup.

A few recommendations,

First I'd recommend using a wider mouth tank, the walls of your container can contribute to vibration/disturbance which can compromise signal integrity.

Another recommendation is to use an optical/microwave lens in order to narrow your beam footprint, although I am unable to recommend one at this time.

The last recommendation I'll make is to use a sturdier mount that won't move the EVM during measurement. Disturbance to the setup contributes to many inaccuracies and that could definitely be the case here. I'd recommend fixing your mount to the container in a way that will keep it completely fixed in place.
