IWR1642BOOST: Wrong data acquisition or a weird behaviour of Vital Sign Demo

Hi,

One of 4 IWR1642 board is somehow working on vital sign demo but it seems this one too has some problem. I am testing on vital sign demo but sometimes I am getting really a flat chest displacement and breathing waveform, although, I am breathing as usual. For a reference, I have attached an image.

This is happening periodically almost after 1 min.

I am using SDK 2.0.0.4 and Automotive Toolbox 2.4.4 and Device silicon version I do not know, I have posted another thread for this here.

Hi,
Could you try capturing the data from the Visualizer and process with Matlab script (vitalSigns_host\gui_source\matlabScripts\main_readGUISavedBinary.m) to find out if device is sending correct data during that duration or it couldn't do the processing that duration.

Hi Jitendra,

I have checked it and it is really sometimes not able to give correct data. I have obsered that sometime sensor is sendind almost 0 amp and infinite energy which is mathematically impossible unless Einstein had some secret formula. Joke apart, would you please mind to visit my observations here.

Laxmi,

We have identified an issue in the source code that would result in the vital signs lab working correctly on AWR1642BOOST correctly but having an issue on IWR1642BOOST. This issue will be addressed in a future release. Please keep in mind that the release notes do state that this lab was designed for AWR1642BOOST.

Laxmi,

In the dss_data_path.c file under the MmwDemo_interFrameProcessing() function, make sure that all of the static variables are initialized to zero.
