Hi,

I tried to measure ambient light with the OPT8241-CDK-EVM in the normal room condition, but the obtained values were between 14 and 15. Since 4 bits are used for ambient, I think 15 is the maximum value.

So it is weird that i got already saturated values from indoor conditions. Is there anything that I need to be careful for measuring ambient light?

    Jongho,

    The ambient value of 0 indicates saturation. So, in indoor conditions, ambient value is supposed to be high, while in high sunlight, the value will be zero. This is mentioned in section 7.3.7.5 of the OPT9221 datasheet.
