TDC1000: LABVIEW VI Files

Part Number: TDC1000

Hi,

We have recently purchased the TDC1000_C2000 Evaluation module and are going to use it as is for a customers distribution circa 1000 units a year.

Please can you supply me the original LABVIEW VI Files for the GUI Control application - or alternatively is there documentation on the SERIAL Control protocol for the board?

We need to develop a simple control application or change update the one supplied.

Thank you

Mark Wightman

  • Hello Mark,

The TDC1000-C2000 EVM is only for evaluation mode only and is not recommended to be used in an actual application. We will not be able to support any issues that arise from the EVM or the software being used in production environment.

Also we do not support distributing the original Labview files for the GUI control application. We will also not be able to support information regarding the SERIAL control protocol for the board.

I suggest that you look into developing your own board.

  • Hello,

I Understand the EVM is for evaluation mode only - We would develop our own PCB if we get the project.
Currently unless we can modify the sample GUI we would be unable to demo the unit being able to satisfy the requirements of the customer!
Following various posts on this support forum - the VI Code has been release many times to customer requiring to update / change it for their requirements?
As you must understand at this stage we are proposing the concept - only when the proof of concept is confirmed (reason we need to modify the Example application) Will we be in a situation to invest a lot more money, go into production/Development.

    Thank you

  • Hi,
Unless the Control GUI Example can use one of the RTD (RTD1) to compensate for temperature drift of the TOF the example is not really very useful? Reason we are struggling with the proof of concept!
  • Hi Mark,

Unfortunately going forward, we are not able to support requests to release VI code for the GUI.

If this is for flow metering application, I suggest you take a look at the latest MSP430 based device for water and gas metering: www.ti.com/.../msp430fr6047
