Hi all:

     Can PGA460 measure only 11 meters at the most?There's no chip solution for measuring farther away?

Question 1:I hope to measure 15m, how to improve PGA460 to improve the measurement distance?

Question 2:There is no recommended chip scheme for measuring greater distance?

    The PGA460's maximum record timer length is up ~11m; however, I discuss a software workaround in the PGA460 FAQ ( www.ti.com/.../slaa733.pdf ) to enable measurements beyond 11m. See "5.1 How can I detect an object if it is further than 11m?" for details.

    With ultrasonic sensing, 10-20m is typically defined as a maximum due to the rate of echo attenuation through air. This depends on a variety of factors such as the transducer frequency, beam pattern, transducer face type, and target shape/size/material. These variables are discuss in detail in the PGA460 Ultrasonic Module Hardware and Software Optimization app note ( www.ti.com/.../slaa732 ).
