OPT8241-CDK-EVM: Flat field image after lens calibration does not give the same height value everywhere in the image.

Part Number: OPT8241-CDK-EVM

We are having a problem were after doing the lens calibration described in the voxel viewer , we end up with a region (lower left corner) of a flat field image with different height values than the rest of the image.

The flat field after calibration should have the same height distance from the camera to every point of the flat field and that does not happens.

I notice that in your Quick Start Guide SBOU157-Septermber 2015 page 21 you show a picture of a flat fields in which I can observe the same problem.

Are we missing some other procedure other that lens calibration that would give us a constant height value for a flat field image ?

Thanks,

Victor Castro.

This is how the flat field image looks, instead of having more or less the same color.

  • Hi Victor,

I cannot see the image that you've attached, it shows that the link is broken.

Just doing lens calibration is not sufficient to get a flat field image. You would need to do at least the Lens Calibration, Common Phase offset calibration and the PixelWise Phase offset calibration to get a flat image. Ideally, you need to perform all the calibrations from e2e.ti.com/.../640301.
