AWR1642: AWR1642 A2D sampling rate and ADC sampling rates

Part Number: AWR1642
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1843, AWR1243,

Regarding to sampling rate I have following question would like your help:

-In your AWR1843 datssheet, I can find A2D sampling rate (real)  25Msps, A2D sampling rate (complex)  12.5Msps

AWR1243 datasheet, I can find A2D sampling rate (real)  37.5Msps, A2D sampling rate (complex)  18.75Msps

AWR1243 datasheet, I can find A2D sampling rate (real)  12.5Msps, A2D sampling rate (complex)  6.25Msps

AWR1642 datasheet, I can find A2D sampling rate (real)  12.5Msps, A2D sampling rate (complex)  6.25Msps

But in your AWR18xx/16xx/14xx Techniical Reference Manual, I can find

"12, 14, and 16-bit Real/Complex ADC With Variable Baseband ADC Sampling Rates up to 18.75 MHz at 12-bits Complex " for AWR18xx/16xx/14xx,==>I understand for AWR1843/1443/1642 ,all chips have same " Variable Baseband ADC Sampling Rates up to 18.75 MHz at 12-bits Complex'

My question is how can I understand the A2D sampling rate in your datasheet and ADC sampling rates in Technical Reference Manual?

why both sampling rates are different? If I want to calculate max range for each radar chip, which sampling rate should I use?

Thank you!

steven

  • Hi

The TRM is probably not clear enough.

"Up to" means that the max supported complex rate 18.75MHz im AWR1843.

I think the sampling rate information is more clearly presented in the datasheet.

    Please follow the datasheet information

    Thank you
