IWR1443BOOST: Data capture of vital signs using the Capture demo

Greetings,

I have captured some raw data using the capture demo and I am trying to get my head around it. The format for the data is 16-bit hex and the memory words read was 8000. My question is how many seconds or milliseconds does this data account for?

Hi Khalid,

The chirp time for a single chirp can be found by adding the idle time to the ramp end time ( 7µs idle time + 32µs ramp time = 39 microseconds).

You then multiply this by the total number of chirps (4 frames* 128 loops * 2 chirps per loop = 1024 total chirps).

1024 chirps * 39µs per chirp = .039936 seconds

However, we no longer support the capture demo. We recommend using the DCA1000 for capturing data.
