AWR1642BOOST: What exactly is Doppler in m/s?

I just wanted to know that the Doppler index in the frame returned by the AWR1642 sensor, when converted to m/s, gives the velocity or the relative velocity of the object?

But there is a question that how do I distinguish the positive velocity from negative velocity
