TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: Transducer to be interfaced with TDC1000-7200 EVM module.

Part Number: TDC1000-TDC7200EVM

I want to install ultrasonic transducer on the top inside of the tank for diesel level measurement in Generator Tank. The application is to measure the level through air medium.

The tank dimensions are as follows:
1) 1200 * 900*900 mm^3
2) 1828*1706*252 mm^3

I have gone through the following two transducer specifications and found them suitable to interface with TDC1000- 7200 EVM module. Kindly have a look and revert back with your feeback.

Also if you could suggest with a better transducer, kindly let me know.

    Please let me know how you plan to orient the transducer, in other words which direction X, Y or Z based on the tank dimension that you have sent above.

    Thank you for your prompt response.

    We are planning to attach the transducer to our smart device which is mounted on the mouth of generator tank.

    Assuming horizontal axis : X axis, Vertical axis : Y - axis and the remaining as Z-axis.  The transducer will be oriented along the x- axis and in few cases it can be at an inclination.

    As i said in that other thread, measuring this distance of ~2m in a tank should be possible through ultrasonic devices. However you should contact the transducer manufacturers on the capability of the transducer that you would like to use. Typically we recommend transducers in the freq range of 1-4MHz to measure through liquids and in the frequency range 30Khz to 300Khz to measure through air.
