Hello,
We are encountering an error wherein the device's serial comms breaks whenever we try to send the CLI / CFG commands multiple times (> 3 times in a row). And when it breaks, it usually happens
on the ProfileCfg command line. See pic attached. We are sending it through python script running on Pi. Initially, to recover from this issue, we just toggle the reset pin for 5 seconds (we connected an I/O from Pin 10 of IWR1642BOOST J5 jumper). Pressing the SW2 will also do. But since SW2 is not accessible for our case, we just use the J5-Pin10 method.
However, we began seeing some of our units' serial comms broken. We cannot successfully configure it using CFG and the failure is similar to the one described above. In this case, we cannot power off the device since it is meant to be constantly powered. The reset pin method doesn't work anymore. Is there a way we can recover from this issue without removing the power? Also, is there a way to avoid the issue happenning in the first place, even when we send the CLI/CFG command multiple times? By the way, we are always sending the whole CFG file sequence of command from dfeDataOutputModeto SensorStop.
Hi Mary,
I assume you were able to resolve this by adding delay b'n commands. I will be closing the thread. Please reply if you still need assistance or make a new post referencing this one.
Thanks
Yogesh
