Hello,
I have been able to run mmwave studio in one of my computers, but when I tried to run it on the other computer, I get the error mentioned in the title.
I have installed the MATLAB runtime engine v8.5.1 32 bit , and all other software requirements to run mmwave studio.
My computer has windows 10 and I am using the IWR6843 radar along with the DCA1000.
Thank you for the help.
Emmanuel,
After installing mmWave Studio, you need to plug in the DCA1000EVM into your PC and let Windows find and install the drivers. The "object reference" message will keep appearing until you complete this step.

Kyle
Hello,
I have done that as well, and the error persists. I am not sure what is going on because it was working before, I was able to do the raw data capture steps until I had to click the "postProc" button mentioned in "Capturing the radar data (7)" on https://training.ti.com/sites/default/files/docs/mmwave_sensor_raw_data_capture_using_dca1000_v02.pdf
After I clicked the buttom, a window will pop out throwing and error saying "missing the msvcp100.dll" After finding the solution for this error, I had to update visual c++ on my computer to obtain the missing file. After the update, when I tried to open mmwave studio, the error started appearing.
any help would be appreciated.
Emmanuel,
For the DCA1000EVM, make sure you are connecting the USB cable to the "RADAR_FTDI" connection and not to the "FPGA_JTAG" connection.
With regards to updating Microsoft Visual C++, make sure you are updating the 2013 Redistributable package which can be found here:
These steps are spelled out in the mmWave Studio User's Guide. Please refer to section 2.2 "Startup" for more information about your issue you are describing.
Regards,
Kyle
