AWR1843BOOST: Can I Use mmWave Demo Visualizer through RS232 or CAN?

Hello TI team,

There are two questions I want to ask.

Now I can flash the FW through 2 RS232 pins without XDS110.

Q1: And I want to ask can I use the GUI " mmWave Demo Visualizer" through RS232 without XDS110? or any other method for using GUI without XDS110?

Q2: Can I flash the FW through the CAN transceiver? If not, how can I update the FW when the radar sensor has been fixed in the car?

Question #1

Yes, it is possible to use the GUI through RS232. You will need a UART to USB converter to connect to the PC

Question #2

You would need a secondary bootloader in order to flash through CAN. We are in the process of releasing an example of that.

The example should be released in October/November time frame

about Q1, Only RS232 TX and RX connect with UART to USB now. Does it workable in GUI through only 2 pins?

Should I need to connect any other pins to connect to the computer for GUI?
