AWR1642BOOST: Vital signs lab demo host software not functioning - ubuntu 18.04 host

Hi! 

I am trying to run the vital signs lab demo on my AWR1642BOOST with a host under ubuntu18.04. 

When I launch VitalSignsRadar_Demo.exe with wine I get the following messages in the console:

"
data port did Not Open
User port did not Open
"

I then change the values of the ports in the UI to /dev/ttyACM0 and  /dev/ttyACM1 and click "Start" - but nothing happens... 

If I click on "Settings" I can not change the value of the ports - I get empty drop downs in the "UART" and "Command" port options.

i tried with unchecking "Auto detect COM ports" but it does not make a difference.

Please help!
