Hi,

I am facing a similar issue than the one mentioned in the post https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/p/840151/3108041 : I have flashed the AOP demo but when I try to run the AOP demo visualizer, the data port never connects as it is waiting for data.

As advised in the post I followed the steps described in https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/833472 but still the problem remains the same.

Could you please provide me with a “xwr64xxAOP_mmw_demo.bin” file that works with AOP demo visualizer? So I am sure I did not follow the here above steps wrong in term of code changing and compilation

Hi Guillaume,

The updated AOP Out of Box demo binary as well as the patched c file (soc.c) is available in the 68xx AoP - mmWave SDK Demo Lab in mmWave Industrial Toolbox 4.0.1. We have updated the instructions in the below thread as well to include this information.

[FAQ] IWR6843AOPEVM: MMWAVE-SDK 3.2.x startup sequence needs to be updated for IWR6843 ES1.0 and IWR6843AOPEVM ES1.0

Please try out the pre-compiled binary on your EVM.

Hi Nitin,

Thanks for your help here. I installed the industrial toolbox 4.0.1 and flashed onto the IWR6843AoP EVM the "xwr64xxAOP_mmw_demo.bin" binary found in .\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_0_1\labs\out_of_box_demo\68xx_aop_mmwave_sdk_hwa\prebuilt_binaries).

But the problem is still the same for me (see snapshot of the mmwave demo visualizer here below) : the data port does not connect even I receive messages on the console

What could be the issue here ?

Hi Guillaume,

Based on the screenshot you provided, I see that you got the CLI prompt in the Visualizer using the pre-compiled binary.

This indicates that the demo is starting fine and waiting for configuration commands.
At this point, you need to press the “SEND CONFIG TO MMWAVE DEVICE” button as shown below? The data port shows connected once the sensor starts sending output data on the Data port. Please provide your observations.
