Dear all,

Thank you for your support and answering to my related questions ( https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/840424 ) .

That issue is resolved now after some modifications in object detection over can lab MSS main. Consequently, I started receiving correctly and continuously both CAN FD and CAN classic frames from the AWR1642BOOST revB.

To communicate with an ECU (this ECU Supports only CAN 2.0 with 500 Kbits/s), I need CAN Technical Description for the AWR1642 Evaluation Module (AWR1642BOOST) or DBC file.

Could you please provide me the technical description for the AWR1642 Evaluation Module (AWR1642BOOST) or DBC file? or just tell me how to generate dbc file!

The CAN and CAN-FD interfaces are described in the TRM. Is there anything else needed?

I read The TRM especially the session talking about CAN communication. I need to interprete the DATA, localize the x and x in the data field and then sending though CAN bus in addition to X and Y also the velocity information (or doppler).

Hope somone can claritfy this point or provide me canfd dbc file this will be so helpful

Hi,

The data information sent through can is the same information that is sent through UART. It is organized per frame basis. The beginning of the frame data starts with a magic number

Hi Cesar,

I have just recorded some sent packets using PcanView (trc file), and i'm actually analysing these packets. I need your confirmation and clarification on some points ( see picture below).

Hi,

The code that transfers the data buffers is defined in the following function MmwDemo_dssSendProcessOutputToMSS() in the file

mmwave_automotive_toolbox_2_7_1\labs\lab0005_object_data_over_can\odoc-target\dss\dss_main.c

You should be able to deduct every field from there. The (x,y) is in Q9 data format. So you will have to divide the integer hex value by 512 to get the value in decimal format
