Dear TI community,
We have had the IWR6843 board and carrier for 2 months.
Our particular IWR6843 board and carrier originally operated in our Ubuntu 16.04 LTS environment as such:
- To flash a chosen binary: short SOP2, power cycle, DS2 (top right of carrier board) is off, The SW2 (RESET button) must be pressed and the DS2 light turns on (per the documentation this means GPIO_2 state is now set to logic 1).
- To run application: open SOP2, power cycle, DS2 is off, when the applications begins talking to the firmware the DS2 light comes on
The above operating procedures worked fine for 1.5 month of use, but now it gives us an error. Now when we power cycle the IWR6843 the DS2 comes on without the SW2 (RESET button) being pushed. We are no longer able to flash the board or even communicate with it at all. UniFlash will not connect, and applications fail without connecting. The ports are still showing up with no problem.
We believe that there is a hardware malfunction, but we are not sure. DS2 ("GPIO_2") keeps lighting on and it says that "Glows when the GPIO_2 is logic 1". Also DS3 ("NERROUT") it keeps lighting when the board is power cycled (per the documentation, "Glows if there is any HW error in the xWR device").
Thank you.
