LDC1614EVM: Unable to detect the connection on a particular computer

Part Number: LDC1614EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC1614

I have updated the EVM board with firmware LDC1614 Rev.B. It works great on my laptop and desktop (both using Windows 10). I am able to use the Sensing Solutions EVM GUI to connect to the board and also obtain the data. I am planning to do a 2-D scan using the coil so I connected it to the computer(the system is Windows 7) that controls a scanning gantry(AeroTech A3200). However,  the Sensing Solutions EVM GUI can not detect the connection of the EVM board on this particular computer.

1. When the board connects to the computer, the led on the board is solid green. In the device manager, it has been recognized as EVM(COM3).

2. Tried to plug and unplug the cable on different USB ports / reinstall the software and reboot the system / delete the driver and reinstall again, the Sensing Solutions EVM GUI still can not detect the device.

3. I set the board to BSL mode and connect it to this computer. The MSP430DEVPACK detects the board and successful installs the firmware.

4. The Sensing Solutions EVM GUI on this computer still can not detect the device even though I just updated the firmware successfully using the same computer. Test the board with my laptop and the desktop again, it works perfectly fine.

5. I tried the Python code(find from https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/295036) that read the register from the board, the Python stuck on the line: device_id   = read_reg  (serial_port, LDC1614_DEVICE_ID) . It seems to take forever to obtain that value.

I have no clue what cause this issue. Any help would be really appreciated.
