Is everything working fine if you select MIMO use case instead? Can you get point cloud to display in MATLAB?

Yes, I can get the point cloud to display on MATLAB when I run the MIMO use-case. But I'm experiencing another set of issues with MIMO as detailed in the forum topic here.

Did you use profile number "2" in MATLAB for BF instead of "1" for MIMO?

I ran the MatLab script radar_cascade_bf_demo under cascade_radar_beamform folder. I didn't run the MatLab script from cascade_radar_object_detect, otherwise, I would have chosen profile number "2" for BF.

Is your MATLAB running on a Linux machine?

I am running in on Windows machine. Unfortunately, I don't have Linux version.

Can you step thru the script in MATLAB to see where it failed?

The use case works on a windows machine but MATLAB doesn't generate any output for a Linux Machine. 

Unfortunately, this looks like an issue with MATLAB. I won't be able to help you with that.

Is it possible for you(or your team) to try to run this use-case on a Linux machine? If it is a MATLAB issue then I'll look elsewhere but if it's a SDK issue, maybe we can figure something out?

I don't think this is a SDK issue.

EVM will output the same data to MATLAB regardless it is running on WIndows or Linux.

It probably has something to do with rendering library in Linux to generate the visualization.
