Hello,

I've tried to use the FEM Excel sheet (Excel_FEMM_v1p28) and I've changed my decimal marks to points like since it seemed to solve some problems.

But I still have an error about material attribution to nodes:

"Incorrect simulation constructed error: Material properties have not been defined fo all block labels. Cannot analysze the problem. Please fix the mesh THEN press OK to continue."

So I check the FEMM window to see that:

I've tried to attribute Air material to <none> nodes but the software isn't really straightforward to use with mouse. I understand why peoples prefer to generate a FEMM problem from other sources.

So I clock OK, but after maybe 20 seconds, there is another window who say "can't find the ******..ans file". So I suppose it couldn't create a mesh to analyse.

I would like to know if someone have an idea about why it desn't work. After researching the forum, I seem to be the only one with this problem.

Hello Simon,

Can you share your Excel_FEMM sheet so that I can try to run it on my computer? One immediate problem is that the workspace boundaries aren't large enough to surround the whole target and coil. I'm not sure if this is the root of your issue, but it could be part of the problem. The construction of the target and coil also looks odd to me, but I'll have to look at your Excel_FEMM sheet to compare the output to the input.

EDIT: after checking with a brand new excell sheet, I discovered that the problem varies when I change the target distance.

Default value generate the same error than this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/732122?tisearch=e2e-quicksearch&keymatch=femm even after changin decimal separator to "."

After changing target distance to 20mm, I get the material attribution problem I've described earlyer.

All these errors, even after allowing all macro in the security center.

Hello again,

After doing some check in the VBA code, I've noticed that the program have a problem at the femmcmd, that mean when a new instruction is send to femm.

It crash everytime when the line "mi_addsegment(2,8437,0,2,9013,0)" is sended.

Someone have an idea why? I don't have enough experience with LUA scripts and FEMM to interpret the problem.
