IWR1443: antenna feed line

Part Number: IWR1443
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642, AWR1443

Hi,

We are working on custom antenna and feed for xWR1443.

50 ohm reference is at edge of the package according spracg5.pdf.
It seems than we should use 78.5 GHz as central frequency according 2134.AWR1642_AWR1443_antennas_simulation2.pdf

Half wavelength of feed line for 78.5 GHz seems to be 1.95mm according our simulation.

AB length is 4.913mm
AC length is 5.198mm

4.913/1.95 = 2.52
5.198/1.95 = 2.67

But feed should be a multiple of half wavelength. Why do you use feed that is multiple of quarter wavelength?

Gennadii
