Hi.

I am now developing ROA(Rear Occupant Alert) using 60GHz, IWR6843.

spracing5.pdf said ;

There are many via-s on the PCB that are either on the pads or close to pads. These are filled with nonconductive
epoxy and capped with copper plating to ensure flat surface.

Epoxy filling increases PCB cost, so why not use copper filling instead of epoxy filling?

Have you been previously working with an IWR6843 TI EVM? Can you specify which one?

Hi,

I am using 2 types of EVBD IWR6843-ISK and IWR6843-ODS for 60GHz ROA.

Top layer's teflon material is Ro3003 ED 5 mil.

Hi Honggil Yoo,

Yes, you could use the Cu filling instead of Epoxy filling, care need to be taken such that finished Cu thickness should not exceed the recommended value in the stackup.
