Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA9548A, TMP1075, TMP144, TMP104
Hi,
What's the input capacitance for the I2C pins on the TMP103? Any concerns with attaching 6+ TMP103 onto the same bus?
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter,
The TMP103 is offered with 8 variants, A through H, which offer different I2C addresses. They are intended to be used together on the same bus. You will not be able to exceed 8 devices on the same bus, because of address conflicts. You could use a I2C switch/multiplexer, such as TCA9548A, to access more than eight TMP103s.
I'm sorry that input capacitance is not specified in the TMP103 datasheet. We have a similar product built on the same silicon process which has an input capacitance spec of 3pF, so I would expect TMP103's input capacitance to also be 3pF.
TMP1075 is a similar device which has 32 configurable addresses. The smallest package is 2x2 WSON, and its one of our best cost-optimized sensors after TMP103.
We also offer TMP104 and TMP144 devices which can daisy-chain more than 8 devices. These products use a UART interface. These devices have a 4 ball WCSP package similar to TMP103.
thanks,
