MMWCAS-DSP-EVM: MMWCAS-DSP-EVM 12V Power requirements

Part Number: MMWCAS-DSP-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWCAS-RF-EVM

Hello

We got MMWCAS-DSP-EVM and MMWCAS-RF-EVM.

And I faced with some issue:

DSP board doesn't start sometimes. Now I use EVM with APS3005S power supply. Current limit is 5A, voltage is 12V. There is 2 cases:

1) I plug barrel jack to EVM, connect wires to power supply, switch on the power supply. EVM starts and works fine. Onboard voltages: SYSTEM 12V is OK, SYSTEM 3V3 is OK, SYSTEM 5V is OK. Current over 12V is about 800mA.

2) I switch on the power supply, connect wires to the power supply, plug barrel jack to EVM. EVM doesn't start, only one green LED light. I checked board voltages: SYSTEM 12V is OK, SYSTEM 3V3 is OK, SYSTEM 5V is 1.4V. Current over 12V is about 80mA. Looks like the problem is similar to this tread: e2e.ti.com/.../3251789

Is it right behavior? I didn't found any dv/dt limitations in manuals.

I want to make tests outside our lab. I going to use 3S Li-Po battery(I think 11.4 - 12.6V should be enough for EVM), but when I connect battery to EMV - it doesn't work( like in case 2).

 How to fix it?
